NCERT Full-Form as the name suggests The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) is an autonomous organization of the Government of India. It was established on 1st September 1961 under the Societies’ Registration Act 1860. It is a Government organization that publishes books for all subjects in various languages for the student of class 1 to class 8.

The headquarter of NCERT is at Sri Aurbindo Marg in New Delhi, India. In 1961, NCERT was set up by the Government of India. The main objective of NCERT was to assist and advise the State and Central Government on academic matters related to school education. NCERT was formed by merging seven existing institutions, which are: Central Institute of Education (1947), Central Bureau of Textbook Research (1954), Central Bureau of Educational and Vocational Guidance (1954), Directorate of Extension Programs for Secondary Education (1958), National Institute of Basic Education (1956), National Fundamental Education Centre (1956) and National Institute of Audio-Visual Education (1959).
